Can I use "greatly"?
"I'm greatly aware of the need to obey the rules of the competition."
Thanks a lot.

  • Can I replace "greatly" with "well"? Which is more natural?
    Thanks.

As Sally says, "well" is a bit more natural, but there are differences in connotation between the two.

"Greatly aware" implies that it (the need to obey the rules) is very important, either to you or in general.

"Well aware" implies that it is plain or obvious, or that someone has unnecessarily reminded you of it.

At least, that's how it seems to this American.
