Hey guys,

I am wondering what's the difference between "impetus" and "motivation". My guess is that "impetus" implies a great action following while "motivation" emphasizes the reasoning behind actions.

Thanks!

For me, impetus is a single event or causative factor, whereas motivation is a more continuous concept, like a driving force.
