In the context of school, what would the phrase mean? That the most classes each of them attends are the same? Thank you.

    Now, Vic, we've told you before about trying to make sense of bad English! :)

    "...Norman and I are in many classes together." As you guessed, it means many (not most) of the classes each of them attends are the same.
