Hi guys, so what I want to say is something along the lines of "To demonstrate this, she draws from her own personal experience, in addition to the life of her mother, the history of single women in America, and her so-called "awakeners" (that is to say, women whose lives she could in a certain sense model her own life upon)..."
My current attempt is:
But I feel like that last part especially might not be great, so if any of you have suggestions to offer they'd be greatly appreciated! And in case any of you have read it, for context I'm talking about the writer of the novel "Spinster" di Kate Bollick.

Please put the ORIGINAL sentence in the title, not your translation attempt, thanks.
