I found two translations:
dans l'ordre chronologique
and
par ordre chronologique

Which of the two phrases I should use, and what is the difference between them?
I want to use this phrase as part of the heading preceeding a list of French singer and songs. I want it to mean something like:
French song organized chronologically

But it doesn't have to be word-by-word.
I suggest:
La chanson française dans l'ordre chronologique
ou
La chanson française par ordre chronologique
ou bien
La chanson française (chronologiquement)
