Please check which is correct: "IN" or "ON"?


"I would be grateful if you could help me in/on this matter."

Is there any difference between the two?

    Greetings!

    Without a further context, no, there is no significant difference.

    "In" perhaps implies that the "matter" involved is more intimately personal - but if so, it would be such a subtle nuance as hardly to be noticed by native speakers, at least of BrE.
