Hi, may I write:
"This word is usually used by the government in such as publications, announcements, etc." ?

I need your comments; thank you in advance.

You can simply drop "such as." It's not correct and the "etc." pretty much takes care of the generality of the statement. In my own writing, I try to avoid "etc." at all costs, but if I must use it, I try to make sure there are at least three items in the list before I finally resort to it. That could just be a personal quirk. :)

This word is usually used by the government in publications, announcements, etc.
