In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Hi all--I'm curious to know how to translate this Douglas Adams quote into colloquial Arabic.

'In the beginning, the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.'

Here's a tentative proposal in Lebanese:

(بالبداية نخلق الكون. في كتير الناس اللي هيدي الشغلة عصّبتهن جدّا وفي كتير اللي بيعتبروه ----.)

Thanks in advance.

    Arabic, PA and IA.
    My attempt:
بالبداية انخلق الكون. بس هاد زعّل ناس كتير وصاروا يعتبروه حركة مش منيحة

    Palestinian:

Genesis 1:1 in Arabic is في البدء خلق الله السموات والأرض.

I would borrow from that and say في البدء خُلِقَ الكون. I would keep this part in MSA as an indirect reference to the Bible verse, as in the English version.

    For the rest:

I think زعّل is ambiguous/misleading, as it often means to make someone upset or sad, not necessarily angry.

    Maybe:

كتير ناس غضبوا من هدا الإشي، واعتُبر على نطاق واسع إنو حركة مش موَفَّقة

To me that's too weak, especially in this context. It's more like "annoyed" or "ticked off" than "angry."
