that is, the preposition 'in' indicates possession here.
Am I right?
Which of these two definitions of 'in' does match the original?

or

    This form of "in" tends to indicate a common characteristic within a group: "All animals have a nose; in the elephant, this is elongated and prehensile." / "We all have a feeling of empathy, but in the psychopath, this is almost non-existent."
