    Ciao a tutti,
I am trying to describe where I was a photgraph and I'm not sure whether to use the passato prossimo (In questa foto sono stato in . . . ) or imperfetto (In questa foto stava in . . .)
    Grazie per l'auito, Jacka

    Sorry,
I meant - where I was in the photo (where it was taken). Ex: In this picture I was in my friend's pool. How would I translate I was?
    Grazie, Jacka

    Hi and welcome to WRF!
"In this picture I was in my friend's pool" = "In questa foto ero (or the present sono as well, if you prefer) nella piscina di un mio amico". :);)
