Hello,
Thank you for your message. It's true that we don't have this expression as a compound. We do have 'avantage' and 'inconvénient' as single terms, but I see that we didn't have 'pro' or 'con' as a translation. I've just added them both as translations in the appropriate places (you'll see them online when the dictionary is next updated). For the rest, I'm going to pass your message to our FR base and see whether
@Lacuzon would like to add 'les avantages et les inconvénients' as a compound (maybe useful, as there are several ways of translating the individual terms, but 'pros and cons' would be by far the most common when translating 'les avantages et les inconvénients').
@Lacuzon : je me demande aussi si le sens 'bénéfice' est vraiment le bon pour la traduction 'pro'. C'est certain que 'pro' ne marche pas pour traduire la phrase d'exemple actuelle. Alors, peut-être un sens comme 'argument en faveur de qch' ? Ou sinon, au moins un phrase comme 'Quels sont les avantages de ce projet' ?
