I'm not learning Catalan or anything but I was wondering if anyone on here could tell me if this makes sense:

'Feliç any nou. Un any més a prop de la independència de Catalunya, espero.'

I just put it together with an online translator (I know) and a bit of googling. Haha. It's supposed to say 'a year closer to Catalan independence, I hope'. Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place or if this should have been posted in another thread.

    Moltes gràcies,

Welcome to the Catalan forum, jcx188.:)

Yes, it makes perfect sense, but Bon Any instead of Feliç any nou sounds more idiomatic to my ears.
