    Yes, of course. It's called "pleonasme" (redundancy) in Indonesian. Two words are combined to become one word to confirm something.

    This is the definition of "pleonasme": "majas yang menambahkan keterangan pada pernyataan yang sudah jelas atau menambahkan keterangan yang sebenarnya tidak dibutuhkan"; atau menurut KBBI adalah "pemakaian kata-kata yang lebih dari apa yang diperlukan". Maka dari itu, pleonasme termasuk dalam kategori majas penegasan. ("The figure of speech that adds information to the obvious statement or adds explanations that actually are not needed"; or according to KBBI is "the use of words which is much more than what is required". Therefore, "pleonasme" (redundancy) is included in the category of figure of affirmative speech).

    Certainly, you just can use "cekcok" and "mencekik" without the word "mulut" and "leher". But, the use of pleonasme would make your Indonesian in high level. :)
