inside/outside of a person

I would like to know if it is ok to use intérieure/extérieure when speaking of a person regarding feelings. For example:

On the outside, she seems confident, but inside she is full of anxieties.
À la extérieure, elle semble avoir confiance, mais intérieurement elle est plein des inquiétude (or il y a tant des inquiétude).

I have seen the use of "interne/externe" and I was not sure if this should be used. Also I thought of "dans une personne, il existe

    En apparence elle est sûr d'elle-même, mais au fond elle est pleine d'inquiétude.
