We don't normally 'send hugs' in English, but Italians can be very flowery and over the top when it comes to greetings compared to us Anglo-Saxons

No, we don't usually 'send' them. Most of us would probably say something like, In the meantime, a big hug and hope to hear from you soon.

So, Memimao, I guess I am supposed to insert my sentence and/or words to be translated into the box at the top of the thread before posting it in a new thread? I did try to translate this somewhere else but was stuck on "sentirti".
