Hi, I am having doubts about how to use the internal question marks in Spanish. For example, I know this is correct: Yo soy americana, ¿y tu? But the examples below do not seem correct to me. I don't think the comma fits there, and they just seem awkward because they are separating the sentence in a strange way. Are these questions correct in Spanish? (from a biology exam): El organismo moriría como un resultado de su incapacidad de desempeñar, ¿cuál función? (The organism would die as a result of its inability to perform which function?) Los cambios que se muestran resultan del aumento en las actividades, ¿de cuáles estructuras celulares? (The changes shown result from the increased activity of which cellular structures?) Should the commas before the questions be removed? Also, would it be better to just put question marks on the whole sentence rather than using internal question marks? Thank you so much for your help!
