Hello: The following is the definition for "interoperability", which is the context. Based on the definition, if interfaces of something are not completely understood, then it's not interoperable. Is that a must in order for something to be defined as "interoperable"? Thank you!

Interoperability a characteristic of a product or system, whose interfaces are completely understood, to work with other products or systems, at present or in the future, in either implementation or access, without any restrictions.
