Greetings,
I couldn't seem to find this posted in the forums yet. Is there a good way to express this in German? The only thing in German I can think of that gets close would be something like "Es kann schnell zusammengefasst werden." Or maybe an expression with A und O.."Das A und O ist, ..." or "Die Kernaussage ist, .."
For an example of it's usage in English, let's assume my boss yelled at me for 15 minutes about a mistake I made. If a coworker asks me "What did he say to you?," I could say "It boils down to one thing: don't ever make that mistake again." Or "It can be boiled down to one thing: don't ever make that mistake again."
Thanks!
