Please I saw following sentence: It is necessary that the work be done in time.
I would like to ask if it is possible to edit this sentence by following manner.
I made different sentence up for better understanding.

It is necessary to do this work by Friday that we could go skiing.

Thank for answering.

    Hello,

No, I'm sorry. "It is necessary that" (plus the subjunctive form of the verb) needs to be in that order.

It is necessary that he call me immediately. (It is necessary for him to call me to immediately.)
It is necessary that you stop writing. (It is necessary for you to stop writing.)
It is necessary that she be available by telephone. (It is necessary for her to be available by telephone.)

You need to use "so" here: It is necessary to do this work by Friday so we can go skiing.

Thank you and could I ask if I can also use SO THAT?
It is necessary to do this work by Friday SO THAT we can go skiing.
SO is only shortened form of SO THAT in this case?
    Thank you.

You can use "so that". It will sound more formal. Informal would be, "We need to do this work by Friday so we can go skiing."

    You're quite welcome!
