Hi,

Should "Is it?" or "It is?" be used in the following?

A: We can take the train to Ruritania. It's faster.
B: It is? / Is it? How long does it?
A: About 20 minutes.

Both versions are possible, Raymond. Is it? is normal if the listener isn't surprised by the information. It is? is somewhat more likely if the listener is surprised by the information.
