Molly says the following words:

I'd saved over $200, 000. But that was just a weak firewall I'd hastily built to keep out the humiliation and depression I knew was coming. It had to end sometime. I just thought it would be on my time.

What is the meaning of "on my time"?
we can't own something like "time", so what does it mean by this?

The writer probably means something like "at a time of my own choosing."

(There's also an expression "on my dime," but that's probably a coincidence.)
