Hi, Alice. It's a joyful surprise that I meet you here on Facebook.

Hi,

I received a friend's request from Alice on Facebook just now.
And I wrote the above to express how joyful and surprised I was to meet her there. Is it idiomatic to say "a joyful surprise?" If not, how should I say it right? Thansk.

Hello, Arueng. I'd probably write "It's a pleasant surprise to meet you here on Facebook."
    Thanks, owlman.

By the way, are there more alternatives that can replace pleasant in this context? Can the following do: happy, rejoicing, enjoyable, desirable?

"Happy" and "enjoyable" sound pretty good here. I'd forget about "rejoicing" and "desirable" unless you're really feeling creative. They don't fit very well.
