This is in reply to the question:

"Chi fa da mangiare a casa tua?"

Would:
"Da mangiare faccio io." sound OK to the Italian ear, or is there another way of providing the stress?

    'Faccio io da mangiare' is an option, if you want to stress the fact that it's you and not someone else. 'Cucino io' is probably more common.
