Using "appraise" here, is the intention to value, approve,or to assess the property? Appraise does not seem a much used word in UK in that context.

In the EEUU, we might use appraise, or, almost synonymous, some form
of valuation:

Please deposit funds to your Spanish bank account so that they may proceed with the appraisal/valuation of the property.

My wife works for a firm of solictors in UK, mainly involved in conveyancing, and she says she has never heard appraisal used in this sense in conveyancing. And yet the dictionary states "A document appraising the value of something (as for insurance or taxation)" Strange!
