Just socially

Person A: Does your husband smoke?

- To answer this, could I say like this?

"Person B: Yes, he does. But just socially. He's not a cigarette addict."

Thanks very much!

    Hello stevenhang
Here's my suggestion:"Yes, he does, but randomly, when he goes out. He's not a cigarette addict".
    I don't know if it's the best...

I'd say "He's not addicted to smoking" or, more likely, "he doesn't smoke every day." For various reasons, such as the human penchants for imprecise thinking/speaking and gentility, "cigarette addict" and even "nicotine addiction" are not usually bandied about in quotidian conversation.

The rest sounds perfectly fine to me.
