I have been searching the net all day looking for the English translation of the following quote from Kandinsky:

L'arte oltrepassa i limiti nei quali il tempo vorrebbe comprimerla e indica il contenuto del futuro
(Vasilij Kandinskij)

I have tried translating it in the following way...

Art exceeds the limits within which time would like to compress it and indicates the content of the future.

Any corrections and/or improvements are welcome!!!

Still sounds translated...
Art goes/works outside the limits that time would like to force it into, and so points to what the future holds.
To me to make even more sense it should be ...the times...
