late night comic in a suit

Please help me understand the meaning of 'late night comic in a suit' in the following sentence.

She weighed texting Don, to see if her combat trainer was up for a beer and some close-quarter bedroom grapples, against the alternative of letting some late night comic in a suit help her escape without the crowded bathroom in the morning.

It means "some idiot businessman who was out late at night prowling the bars." Basically you've got three levels of cultural context in one short phrase, so I'm not surprised that you didn't understand it right away!
