Hi,

Come potrei tradurre questi termini in inglese?

Grazie in anticipo,

Tosco

Equivalent to a Master of Arts Degree (as recognized by Finland)
but the translation depends on the exact degree.

but the translation depends on the exact degree. It isn't recognised as a Master in the USA :); my husband's eldest daughter, who holds a degree from the Bocconi (vecchio ordinamento) and got top marks had to take a Master before starting her PhD course at Carnegie Mellon.

I would be very wary of giving out equivalents of degrees....

I agree with London on that. There is no exact equivalent, and usually a letter from the university is required as a reference of academic qualification to enter another university. The acceptance of laurea varies from country to country. Usually, Italian degrees are under valued (not recognized for their full academic qualifications.) This was especially true of the vecchio ordinamento.
