leave nothing left unsolved

Hi everyone,
I came across this sentence and I can't figure out why here is used the verb"to leave" twice:
"He leaves nothing left unsolved, even this Rubik's Cube!"
Is it correct? I would have written "he leaves nothing unsolved", writing the verb "to leave" only once...

Thank you

I think there is an error in the way it was written.

I would have written it the way that you suggested.
