leesy (wine)

Hello,

Does anyone know how to translate "leesy" into Italian? The definition in English is:

Descriptor of a wine that possesses a rich aroma and/or flavor that is a direct result of the wine resting on the lees. Lees are the solids, a result of fermentation, that are found on the bottom of a vat. These solid particles are comprised of grape skins, pulp, and yeast.

Thank you very much for your help.

  • I found fecce as well in some technical dictionaries.

I've never heard leesy, but the technical term for a wine "resting on the lees" is a sur lie wine, from the French. I wonder if they say the same in Italian.

Thank you all for your help. I love this forum. It is so useful for technical and difficult terms. I appreciate your efforts.
