Por favor alguien me podría decir que significa "let it be" en este contexto:

Let it be that I try to capture the sense of the common law concerning murder. Les agradezco de antemano.

Es un libro que se llama: " Rhetoric and The Rule of Law" de Neil MacCormick, si sé que es un poco rara la oración, creo que lo omitiré en la traducción.

Hola, este es contexto, bueno el párrafo:

Bearing all this in mind, let us turn now to some concrete attempts to make normative statements of law. Suppose that In wish to try and state some proposition of law that will capture the point of a currently existent legal norm, and at the same time make it reasonably easy to use in drawing logical inferences. Let it be that I try to capture the sense of the common law concerning murder as this currently stands in Scotland, as relevant, for example, to the Lockerbie case discussed in the previous chapter.

Si alguien puede ayudarme lo agradecería muchísimo. ¡Gracias de antemano!
