    "Boo" is often shouted at someone to frighten them. Part of celebrating Halloween is trying to scare or frighten people, but it's all in fun and playful.

    Sounds like a very bad Halloween-based play on words: "Let's boo this" instead of "Let's do this."

    I should add that "boo" also shows disapproval of something. A bad actor is booed, a bad sports player is booed. So another interpretation of your phase is that Halloween should be disapproved of, maybe done away with. The rest of the article will make clear which interpretation is better.
