--''Pass'' Vs ''cross''
I am confused on using ''pass'' and ''cross''

Context 1:

The traffic light becomes green and I say to my friend;
''Let's cross the road''
Can I make this sentence with''pass''
''Let's pass the road''

Context 2:

I am planning to buy a vespa and make a Europe tour by it.
I am planning to cross whole Europe by my Vespa.
I am planning to pass whole Europe by my Vespa
in short:
What is the difference between ''Cross'' and ''Pass'' in nuance?

Thanks in Advance

    You need have no more confusion - nobody says ''Let's pass the road'' or I am planning to pass whole Europe by my Vespa. -> they are wrong.
