I am struggling to translate into English the following sentence as I am not sure how to translate limite a l'ouest. I can see it on the map but can't think of the appropriate English phrase. I appreciate your contirbutions and amendments to my translation as my neurons are failing at this time of night:

En quittant les montagnes du Djebel Sahrlo, c’est après avoir franchi l’Anti-Atlas, l’épine dorsale du Maroc qui sépare le Sahara des zones côtières,  que l’on atteint l’océan  Atlantique qui limite à l’ouest le Sud marocain

My attempt:

Leaving the Djebel Sahrlo mountains and after crossing the Anti-Atlas, the backbone of Morocco that separates the Sahara from the coastal regions, we reach the Atlantic Ocean which sits to the west of southern Morocco.

Leaving the Djebel Sahrlo mountains, is after crossing the Anti-Atlas - the backbone of Morocco that separates the Sahara from the coastal regions - that we reach the Atlantic Ocean, which defines/sets out to the west the southern part of Morocco.
