Saludos. Quisiera cambiar la pregunta un poquito referente al subjuntivo.
Si lo digo así: Lo bueno es que podemos ir juntos a la conferencia (en vez de 'es bueno que podamos ir juntos), ¿Está bien? Muchísimas gracias por su ayuda.

    • I found a meme that says Lo bueno es que tenemos salud and Lo bueno es que hay salud. On the other hand, Es bueno que + subjunctive seems to be preferred or perhaps more correct. On the other other hand, some say that Es bueno que... can be followed by the indicative. On the other other other hand, there may be a different rule for Lo bueno es que... and Es bueno que.... All I can say is that using the indicative here appears to be acceptable to the native ear, at least in some places, and that both indicative and subjunctive are probably correct, depending on the likelihood of your actually going to the conference together.

    Sí, es correcto, ¿comprendes la diferencia entre ambos usos? Con el indicativo das por hecho que ahora sí es posible que vayan juntos, mientras que el subjuntivo incorpora incertidumbre, ahora mismo no lo tienes seguro, afirmas que sería bueno que puedan finalmente ir juntos.

    Native speakers may want to correct me on the following:
    Use the indicative when you are informing the listener of something that he/she didn't already know.
    Use the subjunctive when talking about your attitude toward shared knowledge.
