loadshedding

Hi,

Can you let me know what the meaning of "loadshedding"?
I have checked wikipedia but did not find any answer.
One of my customer wrote:
"In our city the loadshedding is 2 times in 24 hours... how much time it(a battery charger) takes to charge fully cells/batteries after loadsheding of 4 hours in 24 hours."

I am not quite sure what he is asking because of the word "loadshedding".

Try Googling "load shedding". I just did and it appears to have something to do with electricity and batteries, as your question suggests.

Now I found the answer: loadshedding is a gap between the power supplied and needed.
