    Hello, Forum members!

How would you say, "long term diarrhea"?

    diarrea prolongada

    diarrea a largo plazo

    diarrea de larga duración

Thanks, in advance, for your help.

No, I think crónica would only work if it´s a result or side effect of a medication that the patient will be taking for a lifetime or it´s a symptom of an ongoing sickness, such as IBS or Chron´s Disease.

Diarrea prolongada and de larga duración both seem to me to imply that each bathroom session itself is prolonged (as a result of the diarrhea). But I could be wrong.

I think diarrea a largo plaza would work nicely. I checked my work´s specialized terminology translation machine and that´s what it recommends: https://intraapps.paho.org/AGS/pahomts.asp.
