Hi everyone,

I know that I can say a town "lost population to (another area)" but can I also use "lose ... to" when talking about economical activity?

By this time, town A was losing population and part of its economical activity to B.

Thanks in advance

    Hi!

You can say, "By this time, town A was losing (its) population and part of its economic activity to B."

economical = using resources carefully to minimise expense, time or effort.
economic = of or relating to an economy.
