Context: I'm talking about a character in a movie (Tomboy). I want to say that Jeanne is loyal to her sister. "Jeanne est fidèle (loyale?) envers (à?) sa sœur"?
Merci d'avance.
Merci d'avance.
I confirm, "être attaché, proche ...." is the common expression used in France when dealing with brothers / sisters.I wouldn't have guessed 'attaché' or 'très proche' would be appropriate. In my mind that's closer to 'attached to' or 'very close to.' How about "Jeanne est dévouée à sa soeur'?
Which context? In my opinion "loyal" could be in such context a false friend (faux ami)
