LRA - Lettre Recommandée avec Accusé de réception

Hi,

Can anyone help me out with this one? The context is a list of fees charged by a French "bailiff" (huissier de justice) - an "LRA", whatever it is, costs 4.70 euros before tax!!

Any ideas?

Many thanks,

Thanks for the suggestion. I was just wondering the same myself, except that the fee does not seem to fit with the official fees (this is within French Guiana). But then again, perhaps the Bailiff's have different fees than those available to private individuals...

    Anyone able to confirm?

So, after more research, it seems that LRA is indeed Lettre Recommandée avec Accusée de réception. More commonly, the French use LRAR, but LRA seems quite widespread for exactly the same thing.
