I wonder whether anyone would like to make up an Italian equivalent to the little lullaby below, written by my son for his daughter. It would not have to be a word-for-word translation, but would express it appropriately in Italian.
The reason is that I would like to post it, with its musical accompaniment, to the Italian website Filastrocche.it. I would acknowledge the author of the Italian words.
You can hear the tune at http://members.optusnet.com.au/sky/lullaby.mid (and "canta con la base"
)
Ecco le parole inglesi:
Ciao
Ben

Ecco le parole inglesi:
Hush my baby, do not cry;
sleep shall find you, by and by.
Dream of stars and angel charms,
rocking, rocking in my arms.
Soon will life be rushing past;
times of quiet will seldom last.
Then recall your childhood bliss,
rocking, rocking little Miss.
If my request is inappropriate for the forum, or if the task would be too time-consuming, please diregard this posting!sleep shall find you, by and by.

Ciao
