Macbeth

The Shakespearean tragedy Macbeth, which was first put on in 1606, is believed to bring bad luck. In the play Macbeth, an ambitious Scottish knight, murders the king of Scotland and becomes king himself, only to be killed by the English army in the end.
As even mentioning its name is considered dangerous, people prefer to call Macbeth 'Shakespeare’s Scottish tragedy', or 'the Scottish play'. In 1703, during a performance of Macbeth, a devastating hurricane killed thousands of sailors, destroyed Bristol and damaged London. People thought it was God’s punishment, and the theatre was closed. The performance of the play in the following years brought about many other incidents and disasters, including riots in the audience, leading actors losing their voice or even injured, and a storm causing the collapse of the roof of a theatre in 1973.

Southern AE greatly modified by a 1st-generation Scottish-American mother, and growing up abroad.
If you're asking a language question, I don't see any glaring errors in your summary. But as a summary it is factually off the mark. MacBeth was a Thane when he slew Duncan, not a knight-- and the army that besieged and took Dunsinane was not English! It was a band of avenging Scots still loyal to Duncan, assembled and led by his son Malcolm.

    Macbeth

The Shakespearean tragedy Macbeth, which was first put on (I would say "staged") in 1606, is believed to bring bad luck (I would move this to the beginning of the second paragraph). In the play, Macbeth, an ambitious Scottish knight, murders the king of Scotland and becomes king himself assumes the throne, only to be killed by the English army in the end.

The play is often believe to bring bad luck. People sometimes prefer to call Macbeth "Shakespeare’s Scottish tragedy," or "the Scottish play," since even mentioning its name is considered by them to be dangerous. In 1703, during a performance of Macbeth, a devastating hurricane killed thousands of sailors, destroyed Bristol and damaged London. People thought it was God’s punishment, and the theatre was closed. The performance of the play in the following years coincided with (Try to write it from an academic's point of view ;) ) many other incidents and disasters, including riots in the audience, leading actors losing their voice or even getting injured, and a storm causing the collapse of the roof of a theatre in 1973.

It's not Oxford, but it's a good start!
