make a presentation

Hello,

If for example I just came back from a summer French immersion program at a foreign university and I made a presentation about it at my home university, could I use the verb "presenter" in the following way?

J'ai présenté mes expériences à l'Université de Montréal.

OR is the following better?

J'ai fait une présentation sur mes expériences à l'Université de Montréal.

Yes, but couldn't we also (and perhaps preferably) say "to give a presentation."- ?
