make a touchdown

Hello,

As I looked up the noun “touchdown” in English Collocations dictionary, I noticed that all the definitions are related to football.

I suggest that “the spacecraft made a [successful] touchdown” could be added.

Our own dictionary (Collins) has:

vb touch down (intr, adverb)
(of a space vehicle, aircraft, etc) to land

And (Random House):

(make a) touchdown: the act or the moment of landing , as of an aircraft.
