- I got this sentence in an English book:

"Who always makes the first move to make up after you and your husband argue?"

- Instead of the sentence above could I use "Who usually makes the first move to make up whenever you and your hubby argue?"?

    You could use that version, NHHL. I do think that using "after" is a little more precise than using "whenever", but your sentence sounds natural.
