Good evening! Could anyone please help me with the meaning/translation of "mandato" in the following context (legal contract)? Is it literally "mandate"? Thank you!!
De la misma forma el presente Contrato tampoco representará un mandato, ni otorgará facultades de representación de una “PARTE” con respecto de la otra, por lo que los empleados, agentes, representantes, funcionarios, proveedores y demás personal del "PROVEEDOR", no podrá ostentarse como agente, representante, apoderado o mandatario de “EL CLIENTE”.
This is what I've got:
Likewise, this Contract shall not represent a *****, nor shall it grant powers of representation of a "PARTY" with respect to the other, meaning that employees, agents, representatives, officers, suppliers, and other “PROVIDER” personnel may not represent themselves as agents, representatives, attorneys, or representatives of the “CLIENT”.
