Hi... everybody. I know the most natural question is:

ARE YOU SINGLE OR MARRIED?

But I wish to include MARITAL STATUS in my sentence... what do you think of my next sentences? Do you think they sound natural?

what is your marital status?

OR including MARITAL STATUS will be more natural in an answer...

MY MARITAL STATUS is single.

Can you think of any expression that allow to say MARITAL STATUS?

Thanks in advance

jajjajajajaja... like a census form... I totally agree with K-in-sc on that

But in spanish... you could say... cuál es su estado civil?... And it will be well understood..

I don't know how colloquial it is. I would ask Eres casada?
Asking Estás casada? would elicit a yes or no answer without possibilty of finding out immediately whether she's divorced, widowed or single. Same in English, You´re married or what?
Cuál es tu estado civil? is not how I would word it in a friendly conversation.
But then, that's me and I talk funny.
