Hi; I looked up and I found marketer translated as "trader" pretty much; but if it's referred to a specialist with an MBA, like in this sentence: "At XXcompany , young marketers such as ..., with a newly minted Wharton MBA, tried to change the product's image. Can it be translated as "esperti di marketing" oppure specialisti di????? I don't know...

I marketers non sono nè "specialisti" nè esperti, ma semplicemente coloro che lavorano nel settore marketing. Tradurrei come: operatori/addetti.
Nell'ambiente di lavoro li chiamano comunemente "marchettari" ma essendo una espressione colloquiale, va valutata la sua opportunità rispetto al contesto.

Non tanto scherzosamente, quanto in un altro contesto. Da anni in azienda sento dire "marchettari" senza un intento particolarmente ironico o scherzoso. E' un vocabolo gergale (gergo del lavoro) come tanti altri, che ha perso la sua potenziale associabilità al mondo della prostituzione..
