Mary is playing with a ball with her cat.
Mary is playing with her cat with a ball.
Mary and her cat are playing with a ball.
Mary and her cat are having fun playing with a ball.

Which of the above sound best? If none, how would you reword them? Thanks.

The clearest sentences are the last two. The first one is acceptable. The second one is too unclear (does the cat have the ball or are they both playing with it?)
