massive coronary

    Does anybody know the Spanish translation for MASSIVE CORONARY and CORONARY, please?

    ¿Nos puedes dar las oraciones enteras, Silvicrima, por favor?
    Así solas solo significan: "Coronaria masiva" y "Coronaria". Necesitamos el sustantivo que sigue...

    Muchísimas gracias por la ayuda.

    Lo oí en una película de policías cuando encuentran a alguien muerto. Este es el contexto:

    "OFFHAND, I CAN TELL YOU THIS GUY HAD A VARIETY-GARDEN CORONARY."

    Más tarde, dicen:

    "WE THINK HIS MASSIVE CORONARY MIGHT'VE BEEN HELPED ALONG."

    Le dicen "coronary" así, a secas, al infarto de miocardio. El sustantivo, ya sea "occlusion", "episode", "thrombosis", o lo que le quieras poner, queda tácito.

    "A massive coronary" es un infarto masivo de miocardio.

    1) No es "variety-garden" sino "garden-variety": significa típico, común, ordinario, no excepcional, no especial.

    2) "We think his massive coronary might've been helped along" significa que pese a que parece un ataque de corazón o infarto de miocardio, creemos que alguien le "ayudó" a tenerlo, es decir, que lo mataron, que es un homicidio, no una muerte natural.
